Saturday 9th June; Susie Turner's Pastel Workshop
10am - 4pm.
Pastels are a versatile medium that create vibrant, long lasting paintings. This course is suitable for beginners and experienced artists and will cover basic pastel techniques and mixed media approaches to pastel painting, working from photos.
I am happy for people to follow my demonstration or to bring their own pictures to work on with advice and assistance from me.
A selection of pastels can be provided for beginners and experimentation, please bring your own if you already have them.
You will also need:
A drawing board for attaching your paper to and working on.
Paper, preferably Fisher 400 or Uart sanded paper.*
Masking tape to attach paper to board.
Hand/baby wipes.
A packed lunch, the hall is far from any shop**.
*if you're not sure which paper to buy, pleask ask. Paper can also be purchased from me.
**Tea, coffeee, milk, sugar will be provided throughout the day, if you prefer other refreshments, please bring them along.
The cost for the day is £40.

If you entered for six months, you may need to renew your entry by 14th May to stay in with a chance and to help the Village Hall.
Hiring the Hall
To hire the hall, please telephone Mrs. J. Vere on 01379 687679. Hire charges are published on this site on the 'About' page 'Hire Rates' button; at the Hall and on village notice boards. Hiring rates have been held since October 1st 2009, because of rising costs, especially electricity, it has become necessary for the management committee to increase rates with effect from 1st October 2011. There has also been a reorganisation of the way the hall is hired at weekends which is intended to improve flexibility for hirers. The revised rates will apply to bookings taken on or after 1st October 2011.
